Hiroko Akiyama, a gerontologist, is professor of emeritus at the University of Tokyo and the former vice president of Science Council of Japan. Professor Akiyama has conducted a number of cross-national surveys and is widely recognized as an expert on issues of global aging. She is known for the long-running research on the elderly in Japan—tracking the aging patterns of approximately 6,000 Japanese elderly over 30 years. She also initiated social experiment projects that pioneer to re-design communities to meet the needs of the highly aged society, and more recently Kamakura Living Lab, a platform for open innovation by co-creation among users, industry, government and academia. She started the Institute of Gerontology at University of Tokyo in 2006. Professor Akiyama received Ph.D. in psychology from University of Illinois, the United States.

Mr. Sang-Kun Bae graduated from Yonsei University with B.A. and later earned his Ph.D. degree in Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia. His doctoral dissertation focused on the financial system along with inflation and growth. Mr. Bae started his professional career at Korea Institute for Industrial Economics & Trade (KIET) as an associate research fellow in 1999. He moved his position to Korea Economic Research Institute in 2001 and worked as a research fellow until 2009. While working for the Korea Economic Research Institute, from 2007 to 2008, he was a visiting scholar at Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, University of Missouri-Columbia, and Johns Hopkins University, SAIS respectively. After returning to South Korea, he joined The Federation of Korean Industries(FKI) as a Director at the Economic Research Division. After holding the vice president position for three years since 2014, he is now the Secretary-General of The Federation of Korean Industries from 2017 to the present. He has published several academic papers on banking and fiscal policies in prominent domestic and academic journals. Mr. Bae also served as an advisory member for multiple government committees including the Financial Supervision Advisory Committee.

Amb. KANG Doho passed Foreign Service Examination and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the ROK in 1986. He became Second Secretary at Korean Embassy in China in June 1993, First Secretary at Korean Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran in July 1996, Consul at Korean Consulate General in Toronto, Canada in July 2003, Director of Middle East Division in Middle East and African Bureau of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT) in December 2005, Minister-Counsellor at Korean Embassy in China in July 2007, Deputy Secretary to the President for Protocol Affairs at the Office of the President in May 2011, Minister at Korean Embassy in the United States of America in May 2013, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Sultanate of Oman in April 2016. Since September 2019, he has been serving as the Deputy Secretary-General of Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS).
Amb. KANG graduated from Seoul National University in International Relations in February 1985. He was visiting scholar at Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies of Harvard University.
KIM Gwang-Soon

CEO GS Kim graduated from Clinical Psychology, University of Korea and received Master of Arts (Clinical Psychology) from Korea University. He worked for Korea Military Academy(KMA) as a professor of psychology. And he also worked as clinical psychologist for KMA cadets’ mental health. After 20 years of professional management consulting service in Andersen Consulting and Watson Wyatt, he moved to the area of digital healthcare service. And he led the several Korean nationwide healthcare projects such as establishing the daily healthcare supporting platform and telecare platform for independent life of seniors since 2014.
Especially, through the project of Telecare platform for independent life of seniors, he developed the several digital healthcare services for the seniors to overcome their fear of Social Isolation, Dementia, and Falling. He is now providing those services in Korea, Japan, Australia, and Singapore.
He also served the several roles for Korean government, those are Presidential advisor of national science and technology, Lead of government innovation center, and Chair of digital healthcare service.
MICHIGAMI Hisashi

Secretary-General MICHIGAMI Hisashi graduated from Faculty of Law, University of Tokyo and received Master of Arts (International Relations of East Asia) from Harvard University. He studied at Graduate School of Seoul National University as well. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan in 1983, and worked at different positions of MOFA and Permanent Mission of Japan to International Organizations in Geneva (WTO) at his early career. Since 1998, he served as Counselor of Embassy of Japan in the ROK, Director of Second Economic Affairs Division of MOFA, Minister of Embassy of Japan in China, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of Embassy of Japan in the ROK, Consul General of Japan in Dubai and Consul General of Japan in Busan respectively. He became Secretary-General (SG) of Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat in September 2019.
SG MICHIGAMI has been endeavoring to promote political, trade and cultural linkages, and to enhance mutual understanding among Japan, China and the ROK. He authored several books including Japanese Diplomat in Korea and China Sees Japan This Way, published numerous articles and received many interviews in Japan, China and the ROK. He was a lecturer at Seoul National University and Sophia University of Japan, and gave lectures at various universities in different occasions.

MUKUTA Satoshi graduated from Hitotsubashi University, and joined Keidanren in 1979. He worked as Special Advisor for the Japanese Mission to the EC in 1992, an Assistant Director in Financial Affairs Department in 1995 and Manager in Trade & Investment Policy Group in 1996. Since 2001, he served as Manager of Chairman’s Office, Director of Environment, Science & Technology Bureau, Director of Industrial Affairs Bureau Ⅱ, and Managing Director. He became Senior Managing Director in 2014.
MURAKAMI Yumiko

Since Yumiko joined OECD in 2013 as the head of OECD Tokyo Centre, she has been at the forefront of policy discussions between OECD and governments, businesses and academia in Japan and Asia, covering a wide range of economic policy issues. She has been leading discussions with various stake holders in Japan and Asia, particularly in the areas of Corporate Governance, tax guidelines, gender diversity, education, international trade and innovation. Prior to joining the OECD, Yumiko held a number of leadership positions as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. Yumiko has diverse professional experiences, ranging from banking in New York and London to UN Peace Keep Operations in Cambodia. Yumiko has an MBA from Harvard University, MA from Stanford University and BA from Sophia University. She sits on the Japan Advisory Board of Harvard Business School as well as several advisory committees of the Japanese Government. OIZUMI Keiichiro
Professor, Asian Research Institute, Asia University
Professor OIZUMI Keiichiro received his Master’s degree in Agricultural Science and Ph.D. degree in Area Studies from Kyoto University. He began his career as an economist at the Sakura Research Institute, Limited (now the research division has been consolidated to the Japan Research Institute, Limited) in 1990. His areas of expertise include demographic change and economic growth in Asia, and socioeconomic issues surrounding the urbanization of Asia.
In 2007 he published a book, The Ageing Asia (老いてゆくアジア) and won the Award for the Promotion of Studies on Developing Countries, the award bestowed by IDE-JETRO, Institute of Developing Countries Japan External Trade Organization for outstanding publications on economic and other issues concerning developing countries. He is also a member of Japan Association for Asian Studies and the Japanese Society for Thai Studies.
PARK Yeong-Ran

Dr. PARK is a Professor at the Department of Silver Industry, Kangnam University in Korea. She received her Ph. D. in Social Welfare from the University of Washington, U. S. A(1995), and was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Oregon(2006). She worked as a Research Fellow at the Korean Women’s Development Institute where she conducted research projects on social policy and services from a gender perspective(1996~2003). She has worked extensively with the central and local government agencies and the NGOs on aging policy and program developments in Korea. She served as an advisory member to the Presidential Committee on Aging and Future Society, a task force member of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare on the issues of the Babyboomers, a board member of the Help Age Korea and a program advisor for the Korean Association of Senior Centers and a board member of the Korean Academy of Gerontology. She received the Minister’s Award from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare for her contributions in the field of active aging(2013).
Dr. PARK served for five years as the President of the Korean Association of Products and Services for Senior Citizens(KAPASS). She is currently the Vice-President of the International Society for Gerontechnology, and the President of the Korean Chapter of the ISG. She has published research papers and books on the topics of long-term care, gender dimensions of aging, social network, active aging, smart care and digital transformation of social services. Her primary research interest is in gerontechnology and care.

PENG Xizhe

PENG Xizhe is currently a Professor of Population and Development at Fudan University and is the director of the Center for Population and Development Policy Studies. Dr. Peng received his Msc. and Ph.D. degrees in Population Studies from London School of Economics and Political Sciences in 1983 and 1988 respectively. His recent research activities covered a wide range of population-related issues, including population dynamics and policy in China, aging and social policies, family and gender studies, etc. He served as an advisor to various Chinese government agencies, and is a leading member of Chinese and international academic Associations in the fields of population and development. He is the author (or editor) for more than 18 books and 150 journal articles including “China's Demographic History and Future Challenges” published in Science 333, 581-587 (2011).

Son SeungWoo is Director of Yuhan-Kimberly in Korea , which is a joint venture between Yuhan Corporation and Kimberly-Clark Corporation. In this position He leads corporate communications and PR. He earned a doctor´s degree in Public Relations from the University of Han-Yang of Seoul.
He joined Yuhan-Kimberly in 1992. He has been working for 29 years serving some management roles including HRD, Communications, PR, and CSR. He contributed to ‘Keep Korea Green’ Campaign and ‘Creating Shared Value’ project which are representative CSR and CSV program of Yuhan-Kimberly. Yuhan-Kimberly is well known as one of the most admired companies in Korea. Yuhan-Kimberly’s CSR and CSV programs highly contributed to enhance corporate reputation of the company.

TIAN Lanning

Dr. Lanning Tian has a Ph.D. in Health and Welfare Management, International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW) in Japan. And she graduated with Master’s Degree from Depaul University in the United States, majoring in Information System Management. She is fluent in English, Chinese and Japanese. She was once the Director of IT Department in Social Welfare Centre and led the National Information System for Aged Services funded by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
In 2014, Dr. Lanning Tian founded SSIDC Senior Service Informatics Innovation Research Center and the Zhongguancun SSIDC Smart Health and Senior Care Industrial Alliance. She is also the editor-in-chief of the “Empower the Next Stage of Life” book series.
Now Dr. Lanning Tian is also the Vice President of China Association of Social Welfare and Senior Service, and a Research Fellow at the Center of Gerontology, Tsinghua University. Before she came back China in 2010, she worked at both Walgreens Company and Accenture Company.

Dr. Yu Jianlong is the Secretary General of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and International Chamber of Commerce- China (ICC China). He is also the Vice Chair of ICC World Chambers Federation (ICC WCF), Member of the Governing Board of International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), Member of the Commission of ICC International Court of Arbitration on the Belt and Road Initiative, and the Past President of Asia Pacific Arbitration Group (APRAG). He has been served as Deputy Secretary-General of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) since January 2021 and Executive Vice President of China International Chamber of Commerce (CCOIC) since May 2021.
Previously, he served as Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and Vice Chairman of China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) from 2006 to 2016.
Prior to working in CIETAC and CMAC, he was Director General of Economic Information Department (2004-2006), and Deputy Director General of International Relations Department (1998 -2004) of CCPIT.
Dr. Yu Jianlong received his Doctoral degree from the Law School of University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Master Degree of Executive Business Administration from Peking University (PKU) and Master Degree of Inter-Cultural Communications from PKU School of International Politics. The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) is an intergovernmental organization established with a vision to contribute to peace, stability and prosperity of the East Asian Region. Upon the agreement signed and ratified by Japan, the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Korea, the TCS was inaugurated in Seoul, September 2011.
The TCS aims to serve as a hub for trilateral cooperation that encompasses the broad spectrum of sectors and actors. With a view to solidifying the cooperative ties among the three countries, the TCS will strive to ensure that trilateral cooperation remains dynamic and future-oriented in the coming days.
